My Days with the Canadian Grenadier Guards
After closing the Falaise Pocket, and kicking the 5th Panzer Army's butt, we headed east towards Belgium with Maczek's 1st Polish Armoured Division. With the critical Battle of the Scheldt we freed Antwerp and by March '45 we had cracked the Siegfried Line before crossing the Rhine to liberate Holland.

Panajachel
Anna informs me she plans to spend the weekend in Gringotenango on the shores of Lake Atitlan. I was last there on my honeymoon in 1979.

Decisions, Decisions
Louise and I are thinking of buying this cottage. It's on a nice quiet little lake with clear water and pine trees all around. The cottage is a bit small, and seems a little expensive for Quebec, but the property includes 50 acres of magnificent red pine forest that should be ready for cutting in 10 or 15 years. I think the forest is what we like most about the place. What do you think, should we buy it?
